Why People Use Kendama

After extensive research one can concluded that a Kendama is Japanese skill toy used mainly for skill development, Reflexes, entertainment, and competitions.

What Is The Point Of A Kendama?

The point of a kendama is to entertain the user of the toy while simultaneously improving the users hand eye coordination, concentration, perseverance, and reflexes, balance and focus.

The kendama can improve skills like reflexes because it requires intense focus and use of fine motor skills in order to accurately perform and learn many of the various tricks.

Kendama also works out the body physically, many tricks require you to bend your knees and get low to the ground, and then quickly stand back up. Doing these repetitive motions while practicing or learning tricks works out the body physically.

Kendama can also be used in a competitive sense, so for some people the point of kendama could be getting good enough to compete in kendama matches or kendama opens.

Kendama Matches are times when many kendama players or select kendama players who qualify will come together in person to have a kendama competition. Kendama matches can range from freestyle play to orderly play which require players to perform specific tricks in order to advance in the competition.
