How To Ken Flip

So for this one, it’s going to look a lot like this we’re going to go down, flip it and try to get it on the cup. Just like that Now, there’s a few different steps to make this easier

Step # 1. Make sure that you are bending your knees very, very deep, as with all kendama tricks, You need to make sure you have a lot of time to get this trick done.

We’Re going to be pulling up the Tama at the same time we’re doing the flip, so you have to really concentrate on making sure that when the ball is about to come up that you’re pushing your thumb down, giving it a nice flip right back to your Hand and trying to get it in the cup.

Let’S see one time down up flip it grab it. Now it doesn’t matter where you grab, you can grab it here. You can grab it on the cup. You can grab it on the end as long as you grab it and you’re not touching the Tama Everything is good.

So we’ll do one more time I like to have my Ken facing down a little bit as well. It helps me load up the Ken flip If you start up here, it’s hard to get a load up. So if you try it right here, it’ll help. You load it up, give it a full spin and you’ll land right back on the big cup.

Well, here we go nice and easy keep those knees bent and you’ll be able to get it no problem. So the next part of Ken Flip that I want to show you that’s also very helpful – is the big cup Ken Flip big cup.

You see a lot of pros doing this trick and a lot of different combos when they’re doing their freestyle routine. So it’s a very good one to add It’s a lot different than the first one.

So what we’re going to do for this? Pull it up into the big cup nice and easy just like before we’re going to move our hand down to the end to make sure that our thumbs in that spot in between the ring stall and the handle stall?

Now this one’s a little difficult, because when you go to throw it a lot of times, people throw the Tama into themselves they’re trying to throw it up for this first time and it comes at them.

So one real big tip for this is to make sure that you lean it forward a little bit when you go to throw the tama for the first time Having it forward like this is going to help keep the tama go straight up and not towards yourself.

So for this we’re going to go down we’re going to go up and we’re going to give the tama a little pop and as we pop the Tama up, we’re going to flip that Ken and eye it up and land it right back in the big Cup Nice and easy, So, let’s see, if I can do it, we’ll give it a shot.

So you got the big Cup now we’re leaning forward a little bit, throw it up, flip it catch it Now, like I said just like before, you can grab it on the Ken or you can grab it on the cup. I’Ll show you how to grab it on the cups If you grab it on the cups, there’s a really cool way to go into inward Ken flip, so maybe give this one a shot too. So we’ll do the regular Ken Flip you’ll notice. My fingers right here on the cups.

This is the perfect time for me to throw it up, and now I’m going to pull down on the cup flipping it forward to land back on the big cup.

So we’ll try the forward flip here we go regular grab by the cup forward flip back out and now with that simple Ken Flip trip. You’Ve got a really cool freestyle thing that you can put into any type of routine mix with other tricks and you’ll. Be able to show your friends how cool of a trick you’ve learned.
